On behalf of the scientific committee of the EGVRS and EGVRS board, it gives us great pleasure to invite you all to the upcoming EGVRS meeting that is going to take place on April 16th and 17th 2026 at Marriot Zamalek in Cairo. This year EGVRS meeting has the theme of “Directions in surgical and medical retina”.
Through this theme we aim at showing different scenarios, different road maps and different ways of doing things when it comes to the diagnostic approaches and management of surgical and medical retina, uveitis and ocular oncology problems.
The abstract submission is open in the following categories.

Surgical retina
Category 1: My way surgical videos
3 mins videos, showing a certain technique that presents your surgical direction in the management of a surgical problem.

Category 2: Second chances
This session is about turning failures into success, or giving a hopeless case some hope in recovery.

Category 3: Unusual surgical scenarios
This session is about challenging cases, and rare cases or an unusual direction in the management of a certain case that you had to per-sue to successfully manage the case.

This session is all about complications.
Please show us a surgical case where a complication happened and how it was managed and what was the final result.

This session is about how you prefer to manage cases of ocular trauma, showing your way and directions in handling those cases.
